Graphic Design & Advertising's Worst Logos and Why.

Say hello to Izzy, the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics mascot. Also known as Whatizit. Imagine being in the boardroom when the committee of marketing wizards looked at all the ideas on the table (twenty! design firms were invited to submit work) and decided that this nightmare was the one to represent the United States of America. Embarrassing. Thankfully, Michael Johnson was really, really, really fast that year.

Number 2. This “uniquely dynamic” logo for America, Online is uniquely terrible. More a marketing scheme than a logo, this is a desperate attempt to be everything to everyone. Literally. Fail.
